Ride: Interurban to Brentwood Bay and Saanitchton
Date: August 12
Cyclists: Mike and Tony
Another day...after the deluge. It took some work to dry all my gear, mostly my shoes. I had come home and took my dripping clothes off in front of the washing machine. Good plan. So by the next morning we were ready to attempt the previously days aborted route. It was quite cool to start but warmed up when we got inland. We followed the Interurban route past Saanitchton and took a break at a nice spot overlooking the sea. Very scenic. One of my favorite rides. The only downside for me was a pain in the ass. I'd changed bike seats overnight so I'd have a dry one for the ride. I guess I didn't get it dialed in and my butt started complaining half way home. But all that's behind me now.
