Ride: Gordon Head new loop
Date: May 25
Distance: 13.36
Cyclists: Mike
Staying with my thought that a short ride is better than no ride, I tried out one of the Active Transportation routes that the region has built recently. After a usual ascent to the university I turned towards home instead of taking a longer loop. A trip down Gordon Head Road and some side streets got me to Shelbourne, the street I live on. New seperated bike lanes have been built for several kilometers. I rode it to mixed reviews. Some parts good, others a bit goofy. But the good news is, no hip pain after the ride. Time to start going longer distances.
