It's been a cold winter. My last ride was in early December, so it's been almost 3 months. I haven't done much in the way of exercise during that time. Plus a month driving to and around the southwest of the the US. So it was with some trepidation that I took up Tony's offer of a ride. He, of course, has been riding most of the winter and is in much better shape than me. But I didn't realize just how low my fitness has dropped. I expect I say the same thing every year at this time, but as I get into my late 60's it must be getting worse. So we did the shortest loop up by Mt. Doug and that was more than enough. Too much up. When I got home I could barely walk up the stairs from the basement.
Well spring is springing so I have no excuses. More cycling and golf should get the legs back to some sort of fitness.
